Week 10

An exciting last week before the Polish Sprint!


Our Totem heads are now looking meaner than ever. 

We all worked extra hard to get the last features into our game before the feature lock and now it's time to pretty up and smooth everything out in the last couple of weeks. 


We have now settled in the jungle as our fighting stage has found it's way in between the thick trees.



Our Totem overlords are finally getting some life.


Make sure you're not standing in front of this guy when he opens his mouth. 


Choose your weapon!

We added a bunch of more weapons, including a shield. But don't get too attached to them. You might have to rely on your hand-to-hand combat skills sooner than you think.



This tribal club might look ancient, but it can still send your brains back to caveman times. 



Here's the shield that will protect you from the whole bloody scene in front of your innocent eyes...

Whats new on the technical end?

For one, we have a lovely pause screen now!


We also have some logic that spawns somewhat randomized "geometry" in the level (rocks and tree stumps for example)
Oh and there are new health bars aswell. We are doing a lot of brain storming for our UI.
It has to be readable above all things but also visually pleasing. We are not entirely there yet, but we are going in the right direction.


By the way, did we allready show you our beautifull lightning in full effect?


Last week we teased our torch and here it is.

And while weapons are awesome and strong, you dont want to get too used to them, they break quicker than youd like.


By now you may have noticed these suspicious looking piles of leaves.

Well some of them harbor some threats.

Here is our spike trap

Even more terrifying, our tree swing trap

It may look a bit cute and enticing, but beware of the curse cloud!

This is not everything we have added this week, but some of the most visually pleasing parts of it.

That's it!


Yes and No. Some of the features still need a little polish to be in the pretty off to be shown off, but generally thats it. From here on out we will improve what we have to round out the game.

What can you expect?

-For one a more visually pleasing UI.
-More environment.
-Some more rfx.
-Music and sounds!
-Balancing!

And...well thats kind of it, probably, who knows!
